Working for a large US Healthcare Insurer, FTE was used to develop transforms from their claims database to FHIR, using the complex Claim and ClaimResponse resources, and other profiled resources in the US Health Insurance profiles (BCBS Axis).
The transforms were developed by a systems integrator, whose staff were trained in FTE in a small number of workshop sessions. They then developed about twenty transforms, in as little as 5 days per transform.
Each transform produced a complex Bundle of linked resources. The transforms were delivered as generated Java, with many thousands of lines of Java per transform. This is a measure of how long the development would have taken without FTE.
The transforms run very fast, processing millions of records per hour.
Through NovaMap Health's partnership with CareMotive we have worked with a number of UK Local Authorities to find NHS numbers for their social care clients. Our SmartSearch product has been shown to accurately find NHS Numbers for 25-35% more records than any other batch service.
Submission of records to SmartSearch can be done using SFTP to our secure server, or by using CareMotive's SMSP Web App.
CareMotive is using NovaMap's FHIR Transform Engine to generate mappings that will be used for its next generation of NHS Spine integration tools.
